A while ago I searched for this and found some linux based VPMS software.
You could run your own server and simply plug in.
Because dynamic vlan support on the switches is 'here-and-there' for
different vendors and platforms, I would also suggest dot1x. I think
learning and standardizing on dot1x is more applicable to future offerings
and end-to-end designs anyhow ...
