Dear Nauman,

The 802.1X is the way to go, you mentioned that you would need ACS, yes but
you can always get the ACS trial version (good for atleast 90 days). Don't
bother about the Server, you can always install it on VMWARE

Now switches , tell me what model of switches you have, now most of the
switches support 802.1X , you might need to upgrade the IOS.

Usually most of the LAN Cards support 802.1x you just need to to enable it
inside the properties of the LAN Card

Comparing 802.1X with VMPS it seems to me that 802.1X is very flexible and
easy then VMPS
