Hi Guys,
As many other certifications CCIE is about getting knowledge. To get the
number is one thing and to stay at that level is another. In my opinion this
certification like many other just say "this guy was at that level on the
date of..." it does not say anything about what is the level now. That is
where the interview comes into play. Some companies prefer to get an
interview with an CCIE because it is a higher probability to find a skilled
person among CCIEs, but the salary is based on what you can do in the
present and how you sell your knowledge. CCIE just give you more chances to
be at one technical interview and that is it.
So why bother to give some ranges based on the CCIE number ?
