The new WLC version 5.2 and newer support the industry standard CAPWAP.
If this is not to support other vendor AP's, then why change to an industry
standard?
I have not seen any documentation that specifically states third party AP's
are supported, but based on the change to CAPWAP, I would think it is
coming.
