  Authentication
  The HSRP authentication feature consists of a shared clear-text key
contained within the HSRP packets. This feature prevents the lower priority
router from learning the standby IP address and standby timer values from the
higher priority router.

  To configure the HSRP authentication string, use the standby authentication
string command.
