Well it is interesting to share my own experince regarding this.....i
was a CCNP wen i graduated in 2002 and got a nice job in one of the
most reputed networking giant easily....working well....than came into
my mind to earn a masters degree ...just after 6 months i left for MS
in Networking from UK.....two years full time i spent on MS and wen i
returned back after MS....NO MORE JOBS FOR ME.....
why?
1) u are over qualified for the job
2)in these 2 years the technilogy has changed and i have not been up to date....
3) the courses that i took in MS can be benifitial for a PhD but not
for dirty hands on......
had to work for a very low salary for 1 year under my junior (junior
in 2002)........than luckly found a stable job in Middle
East....pursused the CCIE .....a jump of 110% in salary in an
year......
So u really need to be careful taking such decisions....i would highly
recommend if u r going for MS.....go for part time .....donot get out
of touch of the technology.....
