You would change forward delay to 6 seconds in both cases.

i have to ask 1 thng, in RAPID-PVST ,if we want to change total
startup-delay incase when switch one port fails to let say 12 seconds
so i wld do
spanning-tree vlan_A forward-delay 16
and incase of PVST+ , i do
spanning-tree vlan_A forward-delay 8

am i right or am i mising sme thng ????
and it needs to configred on both ends or it is local to the switch ?
