This is a very good question and I don't think that there is a "one size
fits all" answer.
I personally use MS Word and have turned my notes into a book format with
table of contents and page numbering. This way it is searchable and it is
easy to go back to certain sections and find specific topics.
I would be careful about posting actual copyrighted material on the public
Internet where it is freely available. Please protect yourself by using a
strong password if you need to post this to a blog for use.
I would also suggest that you integrate the use of the actual documentation
that you will have available in the lab during your studies so that you are
gaining proficiency with that piece as well. At the end of the day you have
to "train like you fight" to win.
