Is this a lab? It's kind of strange to have broadcast snmptraps and
therefore need a helper. Hopefully this is just one of those weird lab
questions that I have not come across yet. If this is indeed a lab then
yes you would need that command to forward broadcast traps (see below from
the command look-up tool). If this is production you probably want to
just configure everything for unicast SNMP.

If a helper address is specified and UDP forwarding is enabled, broadcast
packets destined to the following port numbers are forwarded by default:

b"Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) (port 69)

b"Domain Naming System (port 53)

b"Time service (port 37)

b"NetBIOS Name Server (port 137)

b"NetBIOS Datagram Server (port 138)

b"Boot Protocol (BOOTP) client and server packets (ports 67 and 68)

b"TACACS service (port 49)

b"IEN-116 Name Service (port 42)

Dear

I have one doubt in UDP Broadcast Management

This is my question

1)Configure helper-address on interface fas 0/1 of Router 1 to forward
SNMP
trap to BB1

Solution.

On Router 1

interface fas 0/1
ip helper-address 150.2.1.254 (IP address of BB1)
ip directed-broadcast 102

access-list 102 permit udp any any eq snmptrap

My doubt is whether the following command is requird or not

(Global)#ip forward-protocol udp snmptrap

Thanks and Regards
