This is the song that doesn't ennnnd.. it just goes on and on my
friennnnd.. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was.. Why
don't you smart guys stop arguing about the training industry and do
something useful, like explain to multicast distributed switching to the
newbie. :) Some of you aren't even customers or at the moment, or
trainers for that matter.

Please respond to "Evan Weston"
A lot of the stuff you say lately sounds like defamation to me, the kind
of
stuff likely to get you sued one day.

Subject: Re: The State of the CCIE Training Industry
I just re-read my original post.
Exactly where does anyone think I "made it up". This is what I said (Now
you genius types - read carefully - "Apparently", "may", "rumor"... and
then
you missed the "theme" of the post... I think my words got majorly
exaggerated... But hey... who can account for "interpretation".... They
sure stirred the spot over at InternetworkExpert.
Apparently some think InternetworkExpert may be in dire straights (Truth
or
Dare) and since Brian Dennis may no longer be at the head of the table
(another rumor from an informed source) then InternetworkExpert as we know
it may not exist much longer and may not hold a top spot either for long.
Let's see:
============================================================================
===
1. Brian Dennis has exactly 95 posts on his own forum. That's it. None
newer than since the big announcement last year.
2. Brian McGahan posts in the first person (this mean he uses the words
"I"
and not "We" in his own posts - This will get fixed now - no doubt).
Hah!
3. The most plausible thing we heard was that Brian Dennis was developing
a
new site in Seattle - Kewl - It looks like I'll be up there in a few days
with Cisco and maybe I'll get a chance to meet him in person. Per this
quote:
I'll post an update to our blog tonight or tomorrow letting people know
what's going on at INE since a few people seem to be making up some crazy
off the wall rumors. Basically we're just starting the process of opening
up additional operations in the Seattle, WA area where I now currently
live.
4. The guy who has effectively replaced him has spoken for him in his
stead
and then only after this thing goes "Nuclear" does Brian come in and
comment....
5. And by the way... while someone did mention Brian Dennis being "dead"
somewhere... no one mentioned this about Brian McGahan (I think he
replied
using the wrong email account). No biggie. It happens.
The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated ;)

6. I really expected a lot of students who have been training with Brian
Dennis recently and this past year to chime in considering the attention
this thread drew towards InternetworkExpert. None did. Hmmm....
For those paying attention to the real issue. The ONLY reason I even
mentioned IE in my post was that they sell "ELECTRONICALLY" and it is my
intention to point out that those creating such materials "en-masse" are
doing what Bruce Caslow might call... devalueing the CCIE. No not
InternetworkExpert. The client base that is no longer purchasing product.
But Scott assurrd me that InternetworkExpert's classes are seeing about
20+
students per class (They use at least 2 instructors per class to meet the
demands of the class and supply personal attention).
So from that reply and assurance, I'd suppose InternetworkExpert is alive
and doing fine.
I guess only the Cisco 360 team is hurting from that point of view. Maybe
and maybe not. It is being offered quite a bit.
Now if someone is going to mock my words - read what wrote and put it in
context.
By the way - If I get up to Seattle in the next few weeks, and if time
permits, I'll probably make the attempt to find Mr. Dennis myself.
Good luck to all... And *may the CCIE RS Lab not change too quickly*
before
or after you guys make your changes to your workbooks...
I too hate when that happens...
Hint: Read my last words again...
