You just build a mesh of legacy point to point GRE tunnels.
It's good to know FRR whether or not it is on the lab.

Subject: Old features - MPLS L3 VPN over mGRE (RFC2547) , TE Fast reroute
(FRR)

Hi group,

These features were available in the 12.0S series on 7200 and no more exits
in the newer versions. So is there any similar new stuff introduced that
replaced these interesting/useful features..i'm asking specifically for
7200's. Of course lots of new hardware have been introduced (CRS, devices
based on XR etc.) but whts the point of removing the feature..

For e.g. how do we run MPLS VPNs if the SP core is not MPLS enabled without
a multipoint solution (just hypothetical)? We hv go bak to the old IOS???

Also does this mean there is no FRR in the SP lab anymore?
