Man, I hate regex like no-bodies business... but try this...

^54(_[1-9]+)?$
Test it out with "show ip bgp regex ^54(_[1-9]+)?$".

When you type it in make sure to do control-v before you type in the ? or
IOS will do context senstive help on ya.
