Well I guess I could tag the quotes from each respective person whose words
or summaries I am using to make the effect a little more "believable" since
you would then know the precise source.
I guess it does sound like I have little faith in the industry. Hmm...
Actually I see this is a prime time for the right players to turn things
around for a shift in the current structure.
Here's the skinny:
1. Some employers are always seeking to entice other employees in a
competitive market - it happens, so what.
2. I think Cisco CCIE 360 is having some growing pains and is seeking
credibility any way possible and to quote "all the 3x and 4x CCIE's are
already taken by IE and IPExpert"... is just one example. Others might be
if key instructors from the program who feel disenfranchised decide to
either go solo or get out of the game entriely due to the lack of profits -
how many people are seeking mentoring for example? How many people are
using/buying the mock graded lab packages?
3. I think the quote about IE not being as active with CCIE 2.0 is
indicative of something - I see a pattern - 2.0 Audio?, Up to lab 8 video on
demand for the 20 lab workbooks, etc.
4. I look at vendors who promise to release and instead we see "vaporware"
but the promise is there and may be genuine but instead we see a lack of
actual substance.
5. I do see vendors like IPExpert who has a full product, is innovative, and
leading the pack - nice 3845's in their state of the art racks, new
materials up to date and on time, ahead of the curve, etc.
6. I see the Cisco CCIE 360 Program as needing to establish a standard -
right now they are growing by acquisition but instructors and companies may
or may not offer the same 360 Program? How's that work for consistency?
Is this concise enough?
