ospf summary doubt

hello group i have a doubt regarding ospf summaraisation

here is my scenario

i have one asbr which is redistributing networks

4.4.0.1--redistributing
4.4.1.1--redistributing
4.4.2.1--redistributing
4.4.3.1--redistributing

and one network which is advertised into

4.4.4.4 --- area 2

now i have summraised all the redistributed networks as

4.4.0.0 with sm of 255.255.255.252

and here is the output in other ospf routers

O IA 4.4.4.4/32 [110/139] via 131.1.12.2, 00:06:49, Serial0/0
O E2 4.4.0.0/22 [110/20] via 131.1.12.2, 00:06:49, Serial0/0

till now its fine perfectly valid

my doubt is that

when i change my summary address to 4.4.0.0 255.255.248.0 why is that
4.4.4.4 is still being advertised as an inter area router instead of
external route ?

O IA 4.4.4.4/32 [110/139] via 131.1.12.2, 00:06:49, Serial0/0
O E2 4.4.0.0/22 [110/20] via 131.1.12.2, 00:06:49, Serial0/0

does this mean routes which are advertised with network command takes more
preference than externally summaraised routes ?
