Have to throw my cents worth in and say "Not Happy, Jan!!!" (quote from
a random Australian tv ad from a number of years ago)
It does feel like an instant demotion and with a slap in the face thrown
in to boot.
I mean, it's a huge amount of effort to reach CCIE, and then to be told
a). You're not top of the game anymore AND
b). Thanks for all the effort you put in, your certification is nice,
but it wont qualify you to go for the new top level
(which actually means you've been demoted twice because CCDE will become
more coveted by employers!!)

I'm sorry, that's just insulting!

I guess it also marks end of the line for CCIE. I mean, who is going to
want to put in all the required effort when it doesn't qualify you for
CCA?

Plus I think the real deal breaker is that the CCDE is the prerequisite.
Last i saw on this site there were only 3 certified worldwide. Then
there is the this application into the program. It is getting real
subjective now for passing this one. I will be curious on how many
attain this cert.
