Felix,
I'd second this and add that it has to be a big commitment in terms of
actually using the solution. Many customers just don't realize how deep
their working routines may be affected by a introducing a NOC. And when
all is deployed and swinging and blinking red amber and green. they just
get cold feet starting using it since there is too much to rebuild or
adjust in their work flows.
NNM is way too complex (and expensive) for just link monitoring, I am
telling you this as an NNM veteran from 1996. :-) You may consider
something lighter like Solar Winds NPM.
A good Systems Integrator shall not blindly sell such products,
unsuccessful stories hurt the whole idea behind such products quite a bit.
Just my .02 in your local currency (without GST :-)).
