In my opinion in order to test properly you need RAN equipment. There are
various scenarios TDM Abis, Iub ATM (IMA), Iub IP, interface types, T1/E1,
DS3/E3, Ethernet etc, synchronization strategy such as BITS, IEE1588v2 etc,
resilience & scalability issues, assuming you have thousands of
BTSs/Node-Bs, QoS, SAToP and others...
