Active is the default mode hence there is no option to configure it
explicitly...Also, passive mode of compression means that the packet
will be compressed only if it had a compressed header when it was
received..There is no source destionation concept in this ..If you
enable frame-relay ip tcp header-compression on both sides, outgoing
packets from both sides will be compressed..If you specify passive on
one end..outgoing packets from this end will only be compressed if the
incoming packets have compressed headers....Moreover you started the
query with a doubt on payload compression..I hope its a typo because
payload compression is different from header compression.
