Hi Mike,

For scalability puprose in future, you may consider the below topology.

  1) Have a Management CE in your network connected to PE.Let this link be a
FastEthernet or Gig port and use it has dot1q tagged IP sub-interfaces or
SVI.In this way you can associate one of the tagged interfaces to the global
routing table on the PE and the other as member of your customer VRF.Now you
could have your monitoring software behind this Management CE .In order for
the monitoring S/W to reach the internal subnets, you can route toward the
global routing table with next hop as ip address of Global dot1q tagged
interface in the PE.While the customer subnet can be routed towards the next
hop of dot1q tagged interface IP belonging to the customer VRF in the PE.The
customer networks obviously have to know dynamically/statically to reach the
monitoring S/W.

2) In the above scenario you may have to create multiple dot1q
sub-intefaces or SVI's between Mangement CE and PE.If you want to monitor
more customer network. If that is a issue, you can create a management VRF and
that management VRF travels to all customer sites whoever wants to be
monitored by your monitoring s/w.
