Eigrp summary-route

Hi All,

  I have the below topology

 R1 (Fa0/1) --------------(Fa0/1)R3

R3 loopback0:130.0.3.3/24

In R3 Fa0/1 enabled the below command(ip summary-address eigrp <AS>
130.0.0.0 255.0.0.0) and tried to find whether it originated the summary
route to R1 with null0 route for itself,but it didn't.Then redistributed the
loopback 0 into eigrp and found the summary route generated with null0,so my
question is,inorder for eigrp to generate summary-route,does it not
sufficient to have the route in the routing table and does the associated
subnets to be rdistributed into eigrp or be advertised by network command
for the summary-route to be working.

Kindly help me to clarify on the same.
