What is your budget? Do you want to go all cisco or are you open to ideas?
We just implemented asterisk based solution with cisco phones (7940s), and
couple of trunks to voip provider for PSTN and external calls... extremely
cheap and now two companies are using it for their small admissions
departments , calling globally.

We did invest in few 3750Gs and 2800 series routers, the VOIP runs off 2821s
going through the existing T1.

Before going with this solution, we check out cisco and avaya based
solutions, it wasn't worth it and we were not ready to spend 20k or 40k on
just VOIP solution.
