Hello Seniors,

Please guide me , I need some suggestions.. I am totally confused at the
momemnt.

I wanted to priortize & customize ( bandwisth reservation) the traffic so
that it gets limited amout of bandwidth & high priority at the time of
congestion.

Scenario... I have a 10 mbs link on a interface.. ( dummy scenraio)

a) reserve 5 mbps for my web traffic. www
b) reserve 3 mbps for my ftp traffic ftp
c) reserve 2 mbps for my telnet traffic. telnet
d) condition would be that i want to reserve bandwidth & do priortization
together either in the legacy qos or MQC way.

I thought of doing custom queueing with priotiozation in this manner.

queue-list 1 protocol ip 1 tcp ftp.
queue-list 1 protocol ip 2 tcp telnet
queue-list 1 protocol ip 3 tcp www

queue-list 1 queue 1 byte-count 5000 (bytes)
queue-list 1 queue 2 byte-count 3000
queue-list 1 queue 3 bytecount 2000

I could use the priority queue 0 for traffic protization...........

and than use the queue-list 1 (lowest-custom) 2 ( next to follow in
sequence after queue 0 is used)

kindly let me know if my configuration is correct.

Please let me know how would priortize & reserve bandwidth both together in
the MQC ...

Thanks for all your ongoing help......... group study rock :)

Have a pleasant day.

Regards

Sam
