Troubleshooting was not the only area I've been recommending to see return:
1. IP Addressing
2. Physical Cabling
You'd be surprised at how many people seem to be skirting this stuff...
Kind of embarrasing to see experts who have trouble figuring out pinouts on
RJ45 cables.
Albeit, I don't recall hearing of many CCIE's not knowing how to subnet
properly. Not the urban legend going around, unless the same interviewers
who couldn't get a straight answer at Layer 2 Spanning-Tree gave up and did
not get to layer 3 in the first place. Sort of kidding.
Cisco is going Virtual and so cabling may not be deemed to be an important
topic.
