Yes,you can but you don't have to. Peer mothod is usually used at core or
distribute where there is a few peers. But too many peers would make you go
crazy when configuring. For example, at "remote" side why should you only
peer 10.30.30.30? What about 10.40.40.40 and 10.20.20.20? Usually, if you
would like to configure peer mothod, every peer should be peer to each other
and also configured ntp server 10.1.2.3. If a peer doesn't have a ntp
server, it seams make no sense as a peer. And, if you configure every peer a
ntp server, what's the use of ntp peer? So, if you don't have access
equipments as ntp client, you don't have to use peer mode.
