Subject: Re: OT: Rumor Control: Major CCIE RS Changes - Do or Do Not Book Your Lab
Darby,
I can tell you that those rumors are not true. Cisco would be
doing a major dis-service by attempting to "wipe out" so-called gray
market CCIE training companies. I do hear several opinions from 360
customers saying that the 360 program is insufficient compared to
companies like us or IE, but again - those are just personal opinions.
Just to be clear - we (IPexpert) are pushing forward with updated
Security and Voice (V3.0) materials and Cisco's interest lies in
adding to the CCIE count - not slowing it down - therefore, companies
like us and IE (the 2 world leaders - leading in CCIE success stories)
should be leveraged as a strength instead of the opposite. We have a
very solid business plan and are doing very well - we're not going to
be wiped out - if anything - as the CCIE is changing (taking Cisco
many, many months to make updates) - we're pushing out new content
much, much faster - HELPING the CCIE community - and our products are
much more cost-effective.
Now, relating to R&S - yes, there is a major announcement coming out
May 5th (estimated) that will change the R&S lab nearly 30% starting
in October - and we're already updating our materials to be ready to
ship when the announcement is made. With that being said - don't stop
studying for the R&S lab - this announcement will include "additions"
- therefore everything currently seen on the blueprint will still be
on the newly-revised (not yet announced) blueprint.
