The idea is that the SPAN session needs an ASIC to copy the traffic
(with the same or higher bandwidth capacity). The 3550's hardware
design is that all ASICs have a dedicated port assigned, which means
that you need to specify which ASIC the SPAN session can use (based on
port number).
The 3560 and 3750 have a different hardware design. All ASICs are part
of the chassis/backplane so the SPAN session can dynamically pick a
free ASIC for his use.

When choosing a reflector port, don't try to use a FastEthernet to
monitor a Gig link :-) the other way around is possible though.
