Re: My 1st attempt is Friday...

If you fail the short answer section Cisco deems the exam ineligible for a
reread. It doesn't matter how you did on the lab portion. Apparantly they
have so much faith that their expected answers are the only legitimate
answers and therefore a reread cannot result in changing your score from a
fail to a pass. You can however open a ticket to ensure your answers were
saved correctly and that you didn't fail due to technical glitch.

Apparently if you fail the lab portion but pass the core knowledge section
and you request a reread, the core knowledge section will also be reread.

Yes, this does not seem to make a lot of sense. If the second case warrants
a reread of the core knowledge section, then why wouldn't a reread of a
failed core knowledge section warrant one?

My best advice to you is to get lucky, and receive 3 questions that you can
answer with answers they expect. I've noticed a lot of folks feeling like
they aced the core knowledge section but found out via their score report
that they failed. I haven't heard anyone say they didn't find at least
three out of the four questions to be quite easy - even those who failed the
section seem to agree.
