Thats correct - only developers or Product manager knows that password
generation method.
thats one of the best thing cisco did in UC products and did not allow root
password.
I have seen broadsoft giving root access to the customer and they had many
issue(s). Number of suppert call were higher than anything for broadsoft
guys :)
However, I love freedom and wouldn't complain if root access was given to
end users :)
