"Automatic summary will override the configured summary address
feature on a given interface except when both of the following
conditions are true:
The configured interface summary address and the IP address of the
configured interface share the same major network (the classful,
nonsubnetted portion of the IP address).
Split horizon is not enabled on the interface. "
What do u think of this? i did lab it up.! but with RIPv2 the
interface ip has to be of the same major class else Auto summary will
have more priority than the manual summary at the interface.! but.the
second point cisco tells is that split horizon must be off!
i did lab it up! and i founf the first point to be true.! but the
second one abt split horizon didnt matter at all! any leads on this
issue?
Thanking You
Yours Sincerely
