Hi,
Site local address scheme is abandoned and will not be in use for future
deployment, There will be two addressing for unicast Link Local and Global
Unicast.
The behavior you said is normal for link local addresses (specifying source
interface while ping) for site local address i am not sure bcoz it is not
getting deployed and tested too much as compare to link local and global
unicast.
Regards
Nadeem
