IPV6 Global unicast and Site Local address

Hi all,

I have configured Global unicast address on one interface and Site Local
address on another interface. When i originated a ping to another Site Local
address, the router will select the Global unicast address as the source and
thus the ping drops.

The workaround is ping a Site Local address with the Site Local source
address. Is this normal and can someone enlightened this concept? Thanks.
