RE: BGP outbound route-map Query

Nope. With the situation that called for "dmzlink-bw" that was where a
single router had multiple EBGP connections. In this case there are two
routers connecting to the neighbor and we are trying to show a preference
for one of them. The best option here is Local Preference, then probably
MED, if both are applied correctly.

Subject: Re: BGP outbound route-map Query

There was a post the other day regarding a bgp multipath scenario in
which Jared Scrivener suggested using the neighbor dmzlink-bw command. I
know this is not a route-map, but could this work in this scenario? If I
understand this command correctly this allows the advertisement of exit path
bandwidth via extended community. I know this is used for load balancing and
multipath scenario's, but could it be used here? Or does this specifically
have to be a route-map?

I didn't catch the final resolution to this one, so hopefully I'm not just
coming in late with silly comments.
