Everyone,

Here is the link below that Cisco sent out to all candidates back in
January. Be careful of the insane word wrap. It will answer all of your
questions, and there is even some examples of the open ended questions.

From what I can determine, the lab is still worth 100 points with a minimum
of 80 points to pass. However, you now have less time to complete the lab
with the addition of the open ended questions. They say there are 4
questions, and you must get three of the four correct. You can take up to
thirty minutes to answer them, but this is part of your 8 hour total time
for the lab. Your grade for the open ended questions is pass/fail,
indicated by a score of either 0 or 100% on your score sheet. You must pass
both sections to pass the lab and get your number.

Cisco says that most open ended questions can be answered with 5 words or
less, so I guess they are not looking for any crazy in depth answers. They
say the well prepared candidate will answer them quickly and easily within 5
to 10 minutes. From the two samples that they give, it seems pretty timid.

I wish they were giving 21 points for the open ended questions. Can you
imagine, 21 points for only 5 to 10 minutes time? That would leave 7 hours
50 minutes to pick up another 59 points for a passing grade. That would
have made the lab easier.
