So quick question... If you have a confederation is it a requirement for all routers in the confed. To have the "bgp confederation id " command configured, or is that only necessary on the confed. Members peering with other confederations or external AS'

I have always configured it on all my confederation routers but I just ran into a lab where the routers in the confederation that were only peering to routers in the same confederation did not have it and it threw me and made my head hurt : )
