I have question regarding Cisco Core Switches6500 Vs Foundry BigIron Core
Switches ?
Which is better in Cost and Performance ? In performance I am sure the
Foundry is much more better then Cisco as it has been deployed in big ISPs.
As Cisco 720 ,720 Gbps aggregate bandwidth and 40 GBps per slot of switching
capacity and VSS gives 720x2 aggregate bandwidth .
Do any one has knowledge about Foundry core switches which are faster than
Cisco and cheaper in Price ?

Are Foundry switches use same IOS which is used by Cisco ? No Foundry does
not use Cisco IOS

Cisco 6500 has blades line FWSM,IDSM ? did Foundry has something like for
InterVlan Security? My questions to is what is the benefit of IDSM and FWSM?
Does it worth to buy FWSM and IDSM. It is better to buy standalone Firewall
with less price then FWSM and more features then FWSM.

Go through with Foundry Switches Datasheet.
