I have not worked with it, but I understand it to be etherchannel across
multiple modules ... typically when you configure it, you configure it on
the same module. In order for you to specify a different module, your
switch would have to support this feature since there is a lot to make this
happen in the back ground.

So think of etherchannel, but instead of only on the same module, now you
can use multiple modules. Big switches ...

Since I have not worked with this ... I can not think of a good reason why
an enterprise would desire this. Sorry I can not help more ... HTH,
