I believe this refers to when members of an etherchannel are distributed within a chassis, from multiple linecards.

Subject: What is Distributed Etherchannel

When cisco use the term "Distributed etherchannel" (DEC) is this sometihng additional to the normal LAN etherchannel

From what i understand DEC means the link is fault tolerant so that if a member goes down the whole Etherchannel doesnt go down with it. But isnt
that one of the features of normal Etherchannel anyway. Or is there something i am missunderstanding...

Thanks in advance
