Hey Thameen,

Lucky you. I took Narbik's boot camp a few weeks ago and in a few short
hours I realized that I wasn't ready for the lab. The bad news was I
have one scheduled and I can't move it. So starting immediately after I
got back I dove right into the workbooks. (And the learning has continued)

I was very impressed with the fact that Narbik taught the class rather
than lectured at it, and the funny thing was that the use of the
whiteboard purely made that fact even more significant. I always
(before the bootcamp) wanted to see the switch/router console as some
one explained what they were doing. Narbik turned that whole idea on
its ear. The way he presented the material took all the distracting
stuff out of the equation, and who new the "?" (question mark) works on
the white board. If I ever questioned something he said he would just
say, "try it on the rack during the break." If I didn't lab up the
scenario he would just to show me. One evening at about 1:30 in the
morning he emailed me configs to try on my rack regarding a question I
asked.

But I have to admit there were times I was asking myself, "Is he
covering the same thing I've been studying?" Especially when he got
into what he called "the individual hairs" of a protocol or a
technology. I probably won't get the chance to retake the boot camp
before the lab (the way Narbik suggests) but i'll take it again whether
I pass or not.

Good luck with the studying, and if you need a study buddy drop me a line.

Warmest Regards,
Terry
