Sydney is a beautiful city but if you're going to hang around for a couple
of weeks, you might want to start thinking about striking out a bit. I've
only ever been to Alice Springs other than Sydney, but I hear Melbourne is
absolutely gorgeous. What about the Gold Coast? Wine country? No doubt
there was plenty more to do and see, but I felt as if I'd gotten a good
sense of Sydney within a handful of days. If I'd had longer to linger, I
would've been getting itchy to conquer new territory. Then again, I
might've been quite content to just lounge around Bondi Beach almost
indefinitely...
For whatever that's worth as an "outside" perspective...

Subject: Leaving for R&S lab in Sydney
Hi GS,
Decided to take an attempt in Sydney after a narrow miss a couple months
ago. I leave tomorrow but the lab isn't till next week.
Any advice for this location? Parking? Finding it? Things to do in the area?
Do people hate Americans down there? I've never even been out of the
country. Maybe I should practice having a different accent for asking the
proctor questions. :)
I'll be hanging around the area for a couple weeks and I have been too busy
studying to worry about planning the trip. 23 hour flight, and 15 hour time
difference from Boston. I gave myself 2 days to recover from traveling
before the lab.
