Personally ... I have always set it manually as a practice ... i tend to not trust auto-magical protocols ... there is a selection process that occurs but for certainty sake i always hardcode a primary and secondary ... IMHO

Does anyone know the Cisco best practice on setting the 3750-E switch stack
priority? Do they suggest manually setting the priority or letting the stack
do it?
If anyone has the document or link that states it, that would be great.
