As far as saving configs goes - I am pretty darn neurotic. So
neuriotic in fact that I did not trust the send feature of the
terminal server.
To give myself a "warm fuzzy" in this area, I would use the following
strategy for saving configs....
Before moving from one device to another during configurations, I
would use wr or do wr and save the config on the device I am leaving.
This became second nature to me and I could rest easy that my configs
were always being saved throughout the day.
The only problem I have ever had with this approach is the fact that
it stuck with me in production networks (the habit) and I found myself
writing configurations that I did not want to at times :-)
