personally ... i would say that practicing that way could lead to problems in the real lab (this coming from someone who's already done the 1st attempt and is doing the 2nd at the end of this month!) IF you are not able to work in the same fashion in the real lab you will likely lack the speed and accuracy needed to complete the configurations and processes manually. I personally use very little cut-and-paste in my practice and i "wri mem" almost involuntarily at this stage it's so ingrained ... When i did my first lab attempt time management was my biggest issue and downfall and this next round i intend to be able to know commands, syntaxes etc. well enough it shouldn't be needed to do command batching and such.

Just my 2 cents ... plus if you automate the commands to devices are you watching for erroneous output? I.e. send router rip to a switch without ip routing enabled first ... unless you are watching you may not catch the error and it could cost valuable time.

Subject: Use of Terminal Server

hi experts,

In my practice lab, i am using terminal server to send aliases to all
devices, save config, etc and it really save time. Can it be risking in
using it in lab exam? anyone tell me pros and cons of it perspective of lab
exam.
