In 1993 somedays some of the racks didn't even work, so they would throw 2
candidates on a single rack. You got to use your own laptop if you had one.
There is a rumor where an ISP/Dial candidate configured everything on the
modems themselves, rather then making the routers do anything except signal
the modem. The proctor couldn't recover the modems, so they had to be
replaced. Just think about having to jumper boards in an ASR in order to get
through troubleshooting. More then one candidate came back with busted up
knuckles. The days when you didn't have to worry about spanning-tree.
