Yes, you can ...

It depends on the license you have, F5 BIGIP hardware
(1600/3600/Viprion/etc) can be used as LTM, GTM, ASM (L7 firewall) or
LC.

Link controller (LC) can load balance outbound/inbound link depending
on the license you have ;)
