Kgabo,

FYI -

I think this question came up in the past. Well, I know it did. The list
owner himself, Paul, checked into it as I recall to his own satisfaction and
came to the conclusion that there are just a lot of happy people coming out
of Narbik's classes.

It sounds too good to be true. But as a person who has been to his class
and been to others...

He has a certain nack for making a lot of tricky topics look ridiculously
easy.

Others created or had to follow suit with their own development of similar
product lines to compete properly with guys like Narbik.

Once upon a time a friend of mine who purchased IPExpert's materials... got
on the phone with one of the Brian's and that Brian explained to him their
dream/goal/promise of teaching the technologies.

You see before these guys came along most people only had a few choices for
CCIE Training at this level:

1. IPExpert and the E-Scenarios
2. NLI came out with the Golden Labs
3. NMC did not really offer a lower end product but did have a Tech Library
which may not have been offered at the time. They also had products that I
think were called "Learn-IT" or something like that.

Today the thought of having to buy an entire pacakge from a single vendor is
kind fo dying...

Blogs are all over the Internet now and they offer a lot of succulent detail
on many problem areas and plenty of high-quality learning materials.

Vendors like the Brian's have an entire "End-to-End" training session.

IPExpert has an awesome "BLS or Blended Learning Solution".

Narbik offers his students a very high-quality turbo-charged class
experience and his personal guarantee to help a student till they pass.

Can you blame students for being excited about that?

The Brians offer pretty much the same deal for their students. Pay one
price and pass the lab.

The Brians have a team of professionals on staff in some capacity.

Narbik does not as far as I know.

Other vendors contract out help from some silent CCIE's who write or update
their materials for them. I know of 2-3 of these guys that I've kept up
with over time. Some use hired guns to teach their classes. So I'd suppose
they have more students and a bigger business model.

Or just pay $20,000.00+ for the Cisco 360 Program and if you do you'd better
pass in say 12 months or whatever their offer may be.

Unfortunately many CCIE's on this list have been on this list for more than
12 months typically. Some for years. Search the archives and this does not
count the time some spent lurking.

So...

No Narbik does not have multiple personalities.

He does have a lot of happy students... His price and the quality of his
presence seems to make them want to come back for another drink from his
well.

When he's ready to offer everything the other vendors do, then there will
probably be a few less horses in the race.

I mean if guys like IE, IPEpert, and Narbik are offering everything at one
price...

$20,000.00+ classes will probably not do so well.
