Hi buddy,

Not really - you can increase number of buttons;

step1 - go to telephony service <config t<
step2 -

cme(config)#ephone 1
cme(config)#ephone-type 7937G
cme(config-if)#device-id 431
cme(config-if)#device-name Cisco 7937G..blah
cme(config-if)#max-buttons 4 <----------------------Change here

then create phone buttons:

e.g.
ephone-dn 1 dual-line
 number 5001
ephone-dn 2 dual-line
 number 5002
b.,ah.... till ephone-dn 4

then go to ephone and attach these button to the phone e.g.

ephone-dn 1
 buttom 1:1 2:2 3:3 4:4

OR when u say octel -line is superub feature my comment was its not new you
cud have done it without octo line by attaching multiple buttons. Of course
it makes life easier to just have 1 command.

Make sense?

Make sure you've the right cme firmware image. CME 4.3 can support upto 8
party conference.
