I read the content of the shortcut coz I thought that maybe if the content
was penned/reviewed by the guys who also work on preparing the actual exams,
maybe you get an idea of how the real exam is worded in terms of reading
between the lines to figure out the requirements to implement a particular
solution.
One e.g. the very first task of Switching says implement a your switching
network as a collapsed backbone. Now if you had read about Campus design and
Enterprise network model in the CCDA book would know that collapsed backbone
means your distribution layer does both switching and routing functions for
the access layer.
Initially I thought...what the deuce...but then collapsed backbone really
means acces-layer switches connect to both distribution layer switches for
redundancy and VLANs will be managed in the distribution layer.
So the moral of the story is you just have to shut down the x-connect
between the access layer switches.....
