Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody could offer some advice on whether or not to use
the class-default class on the 3550 if I come up against the need to in the
lab?
The reason I ask is because I've seen it written in a few places that using
the 3550 class-default class to match the remaining layer 2 or 3 traffic is a
hit and miss on whether or not it will work correctly.

A few weeks ago I was marked down in a Mock lab for using the class to match
all remaining traffic....but then it was shown as being used in the solution
for the question? :o)

Would you recommend using class-default or would you go for what seems to be
the safest option of seperate classes for layer 3 and layer 2 matching their
acl's (IP and mac matching any any or 0x0 0xFFFF) in my policy map?

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer on this

Howard
