The only thing is to say that this just started to happen recently seems a
little far fetched to me. If this type of behavior has been happening it
should have been happening as soon as the CCIE was deemed valuable by Cisco
partners/Engineers, which was pretty early on... With all of the cloak and
dagger techniques to get someone certified it would seem that time/money
spent would be better served getting someone actually certified.
