But I do not think the big issue is with the Hello traffic. I believe it
is with the LSA traffic.
The main problems for OSPF with multi-access networks are:
1. The number of adjacencies that have to be maintained.
2. The flooding of LSAs. You would get unnecessary, redundant LSAs if you
were not to use the DR/BDR in the NBMA network. A router would flood the
LSA to all neighbors, and they would turn right around and do the same.

Can someone please explain why we need DR/BDR election in the non-broadcast
network type? If it's non-broadcast type the OSPF hellos aren't sent as
often as the broadcast type. So the DR role is reduced compared to the
DR's in the broadcast network.
